July 29, 2022: The Center of Executive Education (CEE), IBA, Karachi commemorated Diploma Awarding Ceremony 2022 for the third batch of Diploma in Taxation.
The addressees in this ceremony included faculty members, students, CEE staff members and Executive Committee Members of PTBA. The Members of the Executive Committee from Pakistan Tax Bar Association (PTBA), including Patron and Former President PTBA, Mr. Abdul Qadir Memon, President Pakistan Tax Bar Association, Mr. Rana Munir Hussain, Director CEE, Dr. Rameez Khalid and Chief Guest Dr. Aftab Imam, Chief Commissioner, Corporate Tax, FBR Karachi were also present.
The event commenced with the recitation of Holy Quran and the National Anthem, followed by an address by Patron and Former President PTBA, Mr. Abdul Qadir Memon. During his address, Mr. Memon praised the efforts of all graduates for spending their weekends at IBA despite their busy schedule as working professionals. Mr. Memon also paid gratitude to Team CEE at IBA, for effectively organizing and managing the diploma program. Mr. Memon expressed his sorrow over the passing of Ms. Sumera Muhammad, Senior Manager SDP-CEE, IBA Karachi. Mr. Memon paid tribute to Ms. Sumera Muhammad by mentioning her contribution to IBA, and overall society and explaining how her life impacted the lives of so many others. Mr. Memon also mentioned how Ms. Sumera Muhammad helped establish the collaboration between CEE-IBA and PTBA and then how she strengthened the diploma program.
Next, Director CEE, Dr. Rameez Khalid presented his address and congratulated students for successfully completing this diploma. Executive CEE, Mr. Abdul Rehman then announced position holders’ names who came forward to receive their shields:
• Ms. Tanzeela , 1st Position Holder
• Mr. Noman Ul Qadeer, 2nd Position Holder
• Mr. Ahmed Hasan, 3rd Position Holder
The ceremony ended with closing remarks and a vote of thanks by the Executive Center for Executive Education, Mr. Muhammad Abdul Rehman, after which all participants were invited to refreshments.
