November 3, 2023 - The Pakistan Microfinance Network (PMN) and Center for Executive Education (CEE) at IBA Karachi hosted a group of MicroFinance professionals for an interactive session on vision for the sector and leadership development on November 2, 2023, at the IBA office in Islamabad.
The session was led by Dr. Khurram Sharif, Professor at the Qatar University.
The objective of the session was to help MicroFinance professionals in Pakistan understand the current state of the sector and to develop a vision for its future. The participants discussed the challenges and opportunities faced by MicroFinance institutions in Pakistan, and he provided his insights on how to overcome these challenges and capitalize on these opportunities.
The session also focused on the importance of leadership development in the MicroFinance sector. Dr. Sharif emphasized the need for MicroFinance institutions to invest in developing the leadership skills of their staff. He argued that strong leaders are essential for the success of any MicroFinance institution.
Earlier this year PMN and CEE IBA entered into an agreement to bring joint governance, leadership and management programs for the sector. PMN and IBA CEE plans to bring more such interactive sessions to help organizational and professional growth helping the Microfinance industry in Pakistan.
