September 14, 2022: The Center for Executive Education (CEE) at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi welcomed officials from the International Labour Organization’s offices in New Delhi and Islamabad.
The ILO is a specialized technical agency of the United Nations system and the principal centre and authority in the international system on labour and social policy. It is devoted to advancing opportunities for women and men to obtain decent and productive work in conditions of freedom, equity, security and human dignity.
The delegates included Mr. Ravindra Peiris, Senior Specialist, Employers Activities from ILO New Delhi, Mr. Saghir Bukhari, Senior Programme Officer from ILO Islamabad, and Mr. Fasihul Karim Siddiqi, Secretary General, Employers Federation of Pakistan, EFP.
The meeting focused on enhancing and improving Diploma in Employment Laws and Industrial Relations, a certification course being taught at the IBA Karachi in collaboration with Employer's Federation of Pakistan (EFP). Various aspects of how this program can be modified to a next level via ILO’s collaborative assistance were discussed.
