An awareness session on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) was held at the ADR International Center (ADRIC) by CEE at IBA Karachi, bringing together more than 20 participants from the Civil Aviation Training Institute-CATI and the Pakistan Airports Authority (Official). The session aimed to introduce participants to the growing ADR movement in Pakistan and its relevance in institutional and professional settings.
The session was opened by Mr. Kamran Bilgrami, Director CEE and SIMI Qualified Mediator, who shared IBA Karachi’s commitment to advancing mediation practices and its role in strengthening conflict resolution frameworks in the country.
Ms. Mahreen Nazar, Assistant Professor of Law and SIMI Qualified Mediator at IBA Karachi, conducted the interactive session, which included role plays and group exercises. The participants engaged in insightful discussions, exploring real-world applications of mediation.
Together ADRIC at IBA, CATI and PAA plans to establish an ADR desk at CATI to support the PAA and its linked organizations in faster resolution through mediation practices.
The session marked another step forward in IBA’s efforts to promote accessible and effective dispute resolution practices across Pakistan.
