The Leadership in Changing Times workshop is a comprehensive local research-based program designed for senior managers and aspiring leaders who seek to enhance their leadership skills in a rapidly evolving business landscape. With a focus on the unique challenges and opportunities faced by leaders in the financial sector, participants will delve into self-analysis, effective communication, organizational culture, conflict resolution, diversity, equity, and inclusion, talent development, and strategic planning. Through the interactive sessions, case studies, collaborative exercises and guest speakers drawn from global firms, participants will be able to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in leadership roles within the financial sector.

Tariq Khan is a New York based published author, global sought-after keynote speaker and a recognized business leader who brings the combination of corporate and professional leadership experience along with academic learning. His expertise includes thought leadership, innovative marketing strategy, cultural transformation and the diversity, equity, and inclusion arena. He has had a distinguished twenty-year corporate career and has held senior leadership roles for major global Fortune companies, including ING, Nationwide, and MetLife. In his last corporate job, Tariq was Senior Vice President and Head of Market Development for ING.
In 2010, Tariq founded his company, Global Diversity Marketing (GDM) in New York. GDM is a leading management consulting firm that has helped global Fortune companies and coached C-Suites leaders to adapt and thrive in the changing environment.
Tariq has equally impressive contributions in the nonprofit world. He has served on the board of directors/advisors for the APIA Scholars; the Asian Pacific Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS); and Ascend, which is the largest Asian American professional network. He has also served as the chairman of the board of trustees at Stratford University in Falls Church, Virginia.
Tariq especially enjoys his role as adjunct professor of marketing and leadership at New York University's SPS graduate school. Tariq has been a faculty member at NYU since 2005.
Tariq earned a bachelor's degree in international marketing and advertising from Baruch College, New York; an MBA in marketing and management from St. John's University, New York; and an Executive Management Certification from Babson College, Massachusetts.
Tariq recently wrote a book, Leadership in Changing Times. The book is used at several campuses around the world. Tariq has spoken at major events around the world and shared stage with global CEOs, critical thinkers, and U.S. Presidents.

Dr. Ishrat Husain was until recently Advisor to the Prime Minister on Institutional Reforms and Austerity with the status of Federal Minister and led the Government efforts to reform the Civil Services and restructure the Federal Government. In this capacity he also served as the member of National Economic Council , ECNEC , Economic coordination Committee of the Cabinet and several other Cabinet Committees. During 2016-17 he was Public Policy Fellow at the Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington DC. During this tenure he produced his latest book "Governing the ungovernable'" which was published by Oxford University Press. He is HEC National Distinguished Professor, Professor Emeritus and Chairman Centre for Excellence in Islamic Finance at the Institute of Business Administration, (IBA) Karachi. He had earlier served as Dean and Director IBA - the oldest graduate business school in Pakistan (established in 1955) between 2008 and 2016. During his term of office he was actively engaged in the transformation of the Institute to become one of the leading Global Business schools. He served as the Chairman, National Commission for Government Reforms for two years from 2006 to 2008 with the status of Federal Minister reporting directly to the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan. The Commission produced a two volume report on governance reforms in Pakistan. He was appointed the Governor of Pakistan's Central Bank in December 1999. During the next six years, he implemented a major program of restructuring of the Central Bank and steered the reforms of the banking sector. As a member of the economic management team of the Government, he played a key role in the impressive economic turnaround of Pakistan. In recognition of his meritorious services he was conferred the prestigious award of "Hilal-e-Imtiaz" by the President of Pakistan in 2003. Fabian is an entrepreneur who launched GlobalConnect Enterprises LLC, a consulting, training and coaching firm that helps organizations and individuals unleash the power of "connecting" by understanding and leveraging cultural distinctiveness. He has presented workshops and keynote speeches in the areas of diversity/inclusion, communication, public speaking, thinking styles, change management, and leadership at conferences, associations, Fortune 100 companies, and universities worldwide. Groups and organizations that Fabian has worked with include Delta Airlines, Asian Real Estate Association of America, PricewaterhouseCoopers, PepsiCo, Philander Smith College, Marriott, Procter & Gamble, Army Corps of Engineers, Capital One Bank, Abercrombie & Fitch, and CISCO.
Currently, he serves as a consultant and facilitator of programs in the subjects of diversity, inclusion, leadership and intercultural intelligence, delivering programs at companies across several industries in the U.S., U.K. and China. His language skills include Cantonese, Malay/ Indonesian and English. Fabian De Rozario's 18 years of work and training experience spans higher education institutions, associations, and private industries. Drawing from his experiences as an Asian immigrant to the United States, his presentation style is interactive, engaging, and focused on enhancing personal skills that contribute to creating world-class organizations. Fabian was born and raised in Malaysia and completed his secondary education at Fettes College in Edinburgh, Scotland. Aamir currently serves as the International Advisory Council Chairman for GAMA Global.
With a successful record of accomplishment in growing diversity in corporate America, Aamir has 32 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry.
Aamir is active in many diverse communities and spends many hours promoting diversity. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences on marketing and diversity. He spoke at the GNP Manager's conference in Mexico City on Recruiting & Retention and attended GAMA day in Manila in 2015. He was a main-platform speaker at GAMA International's LAMP Asia meeting 2016 in Bangkok on the topic of agent recruiting & development. He also spoke at NAIFA National convention in 2016 and 2018. He spoke at GDM/GAMA conference in Pakistan in 2019. He also spoke at BLIS Conference in Beirut in 2022. This year he spoke at LAMP USA and in Singapore and Malaysia at GAMA Global inaugural conferences.
Active in his community, Aamir volunteers with FBI Chicago Citizens Academy Alumni Association, Chairman of OPEN Chicago and is active in many other community-based organizations. He is also engaged with the DHS community roundtable.
Aamir is volunteering with GAMA Global to enhance its footprint across the world and helping GAMA Global reach out to train managers across our globe. He has spoken around the world and shares his knowledge and experience with agents and managers on various topics such as recruiting, leadership, team building, passion for our industry, social media tools and embracing diversity.
Aamir also authored a book named "Leadership Beyond Borders" available on Amazon, where he wrote about discovering diversity and volunteerism across two continents.
He earned his undergraduate degree and an MBA in Finance/Marketing from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. Aamir lives in Naperville, IL with his wife, Nuzhat who is an Endocrinologist. They have 2 children, Farah who is lawyer and Amaan who works in healthcare. His hobby is travelling; he has travelled the world.

IBA CEE Cancellation Policy for Open Enrollment Programs:
In the event of participant's cancellation, the following schedule will apply:
Cancellation notification must be made in writing to CEE.
Postponement
Due to any unavoidable circumstances, the workshop may be postponed by the institute. In case of postponement, the institute will refund full fee of the program or the participant may opt to defer his/her registration to the next program.
Substitute
Substitutes will be taken at least 2 days prior to the workshop. Should we be unable to accept your application for any reason, your payment (cheque/draft) will be returned to you.
Deferrals
All registrations deferrals must be requested in writing at least 2 days prior to the workshop. Send a note to the Program Registration Team indicating that you wish to have your registration deferred to another session of the same program within one year. The deposited fee will be carried forward. Please note that only one transfer is permitted. After one year, the deposited fee will be fully forfeited.
