18 September to 2 October 2023, The Center for Executive Education (CEE), IBA in Islamabad hosted a customized Leadership Program for Learning Excellence for Accelerated Progression (LEAP), Cohort-2 which took place from 18 September to 2 October 2023, at Islamabad office of IBA. This program, a collaboration between CEE IBA Karachi and Oil and Gas Development Company Limited-OGDCL Training Institute (OGTI), heralds the commencement of a transformative journey toward leadership excellence for officers hailing from diverse departments of OGDCL.
With steadfast dedication and unwavering commitment, the second batch of LEAP, consisting of 30 remarkably talented officers, embarked on a journey of profound learning. This journey was aimed at honing their leadership skills, enabling them to create positive transformations in their professional domains. Over the course of the intensive two-week program, participants immersed themselves in various facets of leadership. They embraced best practices, heightened their emotional intelligence, honed their soft and functional skills, and developed effective strategies, through Action Learning, to inspire and guide their teams towards success.
The LEAP program was expertly facilitated by esteemed Academics and Practitioners including Dr. Rameez Khalid, PhD, Dr. Junaid Ahmad, Abdul Rahim Suriya, Asad Chandna, and Salman Shehzad, Fatima Hatim Anjary, Dr. Nawaz Ahmed Virk.
The culmination of this remarkable journey was celebrated through a heartfelt certificate distribution ceremony held on October 2nd, 2023, at the IBA in Islamabad Office, graced by the presence of OGDCL's esteemed leadership. Mr. Shahzad Safdar, Executive Director (HR); Talat Haider, Head of OGTI; along with representatives from IBA – Mr. Furqan Tamoor Senior Manager CEE, and Bilal Ahmed Syed, Manager BD CEE - honored the participants with their presence. The ceremony was enriched by the vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Shahzad Safdar who acknowledged that LEAP would empower OGDCL officers with the skills and knowledge needed for effective leadership in their roles and professional careers.
