October 21, 2023: The Center for Executive Education (CEE) at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi hosted its Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) Awarding Ceremony on Friday, October 21, 2023, hosted by Ms. Kehkashan Mazhar, PGD Program Manager and Ms. Saba Hameed, Program Coordinator, at the JS Auditorium, City Campus, to celebrate the achievements of its graduates in the fields of Supply Chain Management, Human Resource Management, Healthcare Management, and Project Management.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of graduate family members, PGD Faculty, PGD Graduates, PGD Alumni and distinguished guests, including Chief Guest Dr. Ishrat Husain, Professor Emeritus, IBA, Karachi and Guest of Honour Mr. Riaz Chunara, Managing Director, National Institute of Banking & Finance (NIBAF), as well as Mr. Mohsin Patel, Program Director PGD Programs, CEEIBA and Mr. Kamran Bilgrami, Director Center for Executive Education (CEE), IBA, Karachi.
In his opening address, Mr. Kamran Bilgrami welcomed the audience and congratulated the graduates and their families on this momentous occasion. He also emphasized the importance of continuing professional development in today's rapidly changing world. Dr. Ishrat Husain, in his keynote address, reminisced about the launch of PGDs at IBA and emphasized the importance of continuing professional development in enabling graduates to adapt to the ever-changing demands of the workplace. Mr. Riaz Chunara, the Guest of Honor, expressed his pleasure at being present at the event and commended IBA for its commitment to providing high-quality education and training. He also highlighted the importance of upgrading skills and knowledge to remain competitive in the global marketplace.
Following the speeches, diplomas were conferred to students by the distinguished guests. Shields were also presented to the high achievers in recognition of their outstanding academic performance. Ms. Aqsa Ayaz, the Valedictorian for the PGD Class of 2023, delivered a heartfelt speech, sharing her experiences at IBA and offering words of encouragement to her fellow graduates.
Dr. Rameez Khalid and Mr. Faisal Jalal, PGD Faculty Members, also shared brief notes with the audience, congratulating the graduates and imparting words of wisdom for their future endeavours. The ceremony concluded with closing remarks by Mr. Mohsin Patel, PGD Program Director at IBACEE.
The ceremony commenced with networking and group photographs were taken with the PGD faculty, IBA CEE team, IBA support staff, and the PGD batches of 2021 and 2022.
