October 17 & 18, 2023: The Center for Executive Education (CEE), IBA hosted a workshop on Finance for Non-Finance Executives at the IBA City Campus. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Abdul Rahim Suriya FCA FCMA who is a Visiting Faculty at the IBA Karachi and has over 30 years of experience in Accounting, Auditing, Corporate Finance, and Operational Management.
This workshop provided requisite basic concepts of finance & accounting, including terminology and assumptions, valuation, financial statements, identifying trends, studying competitors, and thus becoming strategic users of accounting and financial data. The workshop encouraged participants to do an analysis of financial data themselves and know how to drift financial data from corporate reports.
