CEEIBA Launches Certificate Program in International Aviation Management in collaboration with world's leading aviation and aerospace institute, the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
An international forecast projects Pakistan's domestic air travel to grow at twice the pace of global traffic over the next 20 years. Air has also the importance of force multiplier in China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). With the enhanced business and economic activities and establishment of new economic industrial zones in the country under CPEC, the civil aviation industry would get a significant boost. Under the mega project of CPEC, several new economic and industrial zones would be established in various parts of the country which would not only help in giving a boost to economic activities, but it would also help our transportation system and tourism industry.
This program by IBACEE in collaboration with ERAU will provide guidance on global standards of aviation management and will ensure that participants from the industry remain up to date.
This program consists of a virtual classroom using advanced classroom technology of ERAU called Eagle-Vision. The faculty of this program will conduct virtual classes from ERAU Singapore Campus. The program consists of Aviation Industries' leading guest speakers, simulations, assessments and extensive use of state-of-the-art LMS by ERAU.
CEE hosted orientation ceremony of the program on October 27, 2018, at IBA, City Campus. After the welcome note by Kamran Bilgrami Manager CEE, Mr Aamer Shabbir Khan, GM Administration introduced IBA, its facilities and rules and regulations. The ERAU's representative and Pakistan's leading aviation management specialist Prof. Dr Wali Mughni introduced the programs and its contents to the participants. Ms Shugufta Kaleem, Principal PIA Training Center was the chief guest of the event. She highlighted the importance of the program for Pakistan at this time and how program participants can contribute the learnings from this program to the industry.
The participants joined the sessions virtually from Dubai, Riyadh, Lahore, Islamabad, Hyderabad and Karachi. They represent leading national organizations including but not limited to National Logistics Cell, Pakistan International Airlines, Gerry's Dnata, Civil Aviation authority, Shaheen Air, Ormara Airport Project and Pakistan Army Aviation.
