Seminar on Decision Making in Financial Markets with Mr. Sadeq Sayeed, Chairman Metage Investments
Center for Executive Education (CEE), IBA, Karachi, hosted a short seminar with Mr. Sadeq Sayeed, Adjunct Faculty, IBA, Karachi and Chairman Metage Investments on August 22, 2017, at JS Auditorium. Mr. Sayeed was warmly welcomed by Dr. Farrukh Iqbal, Dean & Director IBA, Karachi. Dr. Iqbal introduced Mr. Sayeed and mentioned the long affiliation between the two. He also appreciated the representation of Mr. Sayeed as a Pakistani on a global scale. The lecture was followed by question & answer session by the audience. The lecture was attended by over 100 participants including Investment Bankers, Regulators, Students, & faculty members.

Mr. Sadeq Sayeed is Chairman of Metage Capital Limited, an investment firm based in London.
Previously, Mr. Sayeed was appointed CEO of Nomura International in 2008 having joined the company in 2000 as Special Advisor. This appointment followed the acquisition of the Lehman Brothers businesses in EMEA and Asia in which Mr. Sayeed played a key role. In 2011, Mr. Sayeed retired as CEO of Nomura.
Mr. Sayeed has over 30 years of experience in investment banking and previously served as Managing Director of Credit Suisse First Boston where he spent 15 years. Prior to his global investment banking career, he was Consultant to the World Bank in Washington DC.
Mr. Sayeed holds an undergraduate degree in economics with a concentration in electrical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), as well as a master's degree in finance from MIT's Sloan School. Mr. Sayeed is a visiting Associate Scholar at Pembroke College, Cambridge and he is also Adjunct Professor at Imperial College Business School in London.
