Leadership Seminar

Center for Executive Education (CEE), IBA, Karachi successfully organized a seminar on "Leadership" held on April 18, 2017 at 3:00 pm at JS Auditorium IBA Karachi City Campus. The objective of this particular seminar was to share experiences with the audience on 'Transforming organizations through effective leadership and how leadership fails, the reasons for this, the consequences and some of the solutions that used to remedy this. This lecture presented some real examples of leadership issues and how these were fixed.

Mr. Steve Kelsey and Mr. Nausherwan Akram were the key speakers of the session. Mr. Kelsey is a leading organizational and business improvement consultant based in the UK. He has worked with organizations, teams and individuals across the world to develop their skills, unleash their potential and help them become more successful for over 25 years. Mr. Akram is a professional consultant from the UK specializing in strategic development, execution and operational improvement having worked for 15 years across the globe and in the UK, the US and French publicly listed organizations bringing about change and improvement. Mr. Akram expressed his thoughts, while addressing to the audience "Steve and I are delighted to have conducted the leadership seminars hosted by IBA CEE in Karachi. From our combined experience of having partnered with a number of international leaders, we feel they are often not able to play their best game because they are not aware of and focussed on their real passion and competence. This results in the leaders struggling to inspire and motivate their teams to deliver a superior performance. We have also observed that leaders lack standardised and simple methodology/tools that can assist them to successfully deliver strategic change in their organisations. It was a stimulating experience leading the seminars at IBA CEE with some great participation from and interaction with the audience. I look forward to coming back to Pakistan to co-lead the Strategic Leadership programme at IBA CEE in Karachi and Lahore in July this year."

The session was attended by a number of working professionals from various renowned companies at various levels such as: Directors, CEOs, HoDs and Managers. The faculty members and students from different institutes also attended the session.
