Mr. Muhammad Yakoob Kapadia, Advocate High Court was invited to speak to the students of the Diploma in Family Managed Business (Batch 5) on "Managing transitions and creating a legacy in family business".
Mr. Muhammad Yakoob Kapadia shared with the participants example of three major family businesses which were leading entities pre partition. He discussed the challenges the next gen faced primarily that they were not able to manage and accelerate their respective businesses. During the session core weaknesses were highlighted, and the key takeaways were on how to nurture business in upcoming generations. Mr. Kapadia discussed importance of a formal legal structure and presence in business. He urged the Next Gen to stay humble and near to their roots.
The session was well received with DFMB participants . In the end Mr. Mohsin Adhi, Faculty member, Family Managed Business thanked the guest speaker and presented him with a memento.
