Training Program: Discovering Leadership through Self Analysis
Center for Executive Education (CEE), IBA, Karachi successfully organized a two-day training program on "Discovering Leadership through Self Analysis" held from November 04 to 05, 2019 at IBA City Campus.
Overall this program focused on the different aspects of leadership behavior, personality & styles. Other important leadership areas, including communication skills, emotionality, decision making and use of power, were also covered.
The trainer, Dr. Khurram Sharif actively engaged participants in various physical activities using Legos and balloons. Several psychometric tests, including Briggs Myers Assessment, Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire, Leadership Style Profiling and Machiavellian Tendencies were utilized to gauge leadership within participants. In general, the training facilitated participants in discovering their leadership landscape.
By the end of this program, participants were able to:
- Utilize emotionality as an effective leadership tool.
- Improve decision-making as a leader practically difficulty decisions
- Identify the traits and behaviors of an effective leader.
- Action learning the relationship between leadership and environment.
- Understand the leadership context of communication and how it impacts the information flow.
- Manage relationships between leader and team members.
- Effectively use of power
