Karachi, June 3, 2024 - The Center for Executive Education at IBA, Karachi proudly hosted the Diploma Awarding Ceremony for the sixth and seventh batches of the Diploma in Taxation. The event, held on June 3, 2024, at the IBA City Campus, was a significant milestone celebrating the achievements of the graduates.
The ceremony commenced with the assembly of participants and seating in the lecture theatre, followed by the arrival of the Chief Guest. The event began with a recitation from the Holy Quran by Mr. Muhammad Abdul Rehman, who also served as the Master of Ceremonies. The recitation set a solemn and respectful tone for the ceremony.
All guests then rose for the National Anthem, demonstrating their patriotism and unity. Mr. Kamran Bilgrami, Director of the Center for Executive Education at IBA Karachi, delivered a warm and inspiring welcome address, highlighting the significance of the Diploma in Taxation and the hard work of the graduates.
Mr. Anwar Kashif Mumtaz, President of the Pakistan Tax Bar Association, followed with an insightful address, sharing his expert perspective on the evolving field of taxation. His words were further echoed by Mr. Abdul Qadir Memon, Chairman of the PTBA Academy of Taxation, who emphasized the importance of continued education and professional development in the taxation sector.
The ceremony reached its pinnacle with the distribution of merit certificates and awards, recognizing the exceptional achievements of the graduates. This was followed by a keynote speech by Dr. Wasif Ali Memon, Chairman of the Sindh Revenue Board, Karachi. Dr. Memon’s speech provided valuable insights into the current trends and future directions of taxation in the region, inspiring the graduates to aspire for excellence in their professional journeys.
Mr. Wajahat Rehman, a trainer at the Center for Executive Education, IBA Karachi, offered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the distinguished guests, faculty, and participants for making the ceremony a memorable event.
The ceremony concluded with group photographs of the participants with distinguished guests and faculty, followed by refreshments and photo sessions. The event wrapped up with the departure of guests and participants.
