From August 26-31, 2024, IBA Karachi's delegation, led by Dr. S Akbar Zaidi, visited Singapore and Kuala Lumpur to advance global collaborations and promote ADR education. Highlights included participation in Singapore Convention Week and SIMC's 10th Anniversary, along with high-level meetings at SIMC, NUS, AIAC, AIADR, MIMC and the High Commissions of Pakistan in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.
This visit marks a significant step in strengthening IBA's international ties and enhancing ADR initiatives for Pakistan. The delegation's discussions focused on fostering regional cooperation, expanding ADR training, and exploring innovative approaches to dispute resolution. As a result, IBA's ADR International Center (ADRIC) at the Center for Executive Education (CEE), IBA, Karachi is set to collaborate on co-mediation, joint research, and specialized ADR training courses with the leading institutions in Singapore and Malaysia. These initiatives will empower Pakistani professionals and further integrate ADR practices into the country's legal and business landscapes.
